JESC 2017 | Day 1: first rehearsals - part 2
Now it's the turn of the remaining 4 countries to take to the stage for their first rehearsal.
Nicole Nicolaou and her dancers from Cyprus set the stage a light with a very powerful and energetic performance! Continuing on with the unofficial 'sparkly' theme, Nicole is wearing a gold sparkly jacket with a bright orange skirt, with her dancers continuing on with the 'orange theme'. The backdrop is an array of bright colours that match the song perfectly. Nicole gave a solid vocal performance and appeared to be loving every minute on stage!
14 year old Mina Blažev was "Dancing Through Life" for Macedonia. Wearing what looks like a rain coat and a white cat suit, Mina appeared alone on stage. Dressed all in white with a blue backdrop, she certainly stands out. She gave a very promising performance and appeared to be very confident on stage. During the performance, the camera used a slow-motion effect, which seems to compliment the performance very well.
Host country Georgia was up next and Grigol didn't disappoint! Continuing on with the theme of his official video, the performance starts out with a sepia-toned background before turning to a blue colour. Grigol is joined on stage with four singers, like his music video. He appears confident on stage and has no problem in singing out those big notes! Could we see a 4th win for Georgia?
Last of the day was Ireland. The staging is all about Muireann McDonnell and her guitar. Looking rather casual on stage wearing a black sparkly top with jeans, Muireann gave a sweet and simple performance of her song. She appeared to be very confident and relaxed on stage.
