Are Samir & Viktor Returning To Melodifestivalen?

As months of surpringly quiet from Sweden about who is and is not competing in Melodifestivalen, the first serious clue has seem to have been dropped in regarding to one of the participants.

Aftonbladet, the Swedish newspaper has been reporting that duo Samir & Viktor will be making a return to the contest in 2018, it will be there third time competing in the contest if that rumour is believed to be true. they have previously entered the contest in 2015 with the song "Groupie" which scored them 8th place in the final and then returned the following year iwth "Bada Nakna" which came 12th in the final, they did not participate in 2017.

Samir & Viktor first debuted on the music scene in Sweden back in 2014 with their single "Success" which peaked at 3rd in the Swedish charts, their following three singles - "Groupie" "Saxofuckingfon" and Bada Nakna" all finished again inside the Swedish charts top three with Bada Nakna giving them their first and to this day only Swedish number one, they have released four other singles since their last participated in Melodifestivalen, "Fick Feeling", "Kung", "Vi gor det andra" and "Rakt in i kaklet" which was released earlier this week.

SVT revealed that they have received a grand total of 2771 submissions for the 2018 edition, which will hosted by three time competitor David Lindgren, as of yet, no date has been announced as to when the chosen 28 acts competing will be revealed to the public.
