JESC 2017 | Maria Iside Fiore will sing "Scelgo" for Italy!

October 4, 2017

13 year old Maria Iside Fiore will represent Italy at the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with her song "Scelgo" (My Choice). The song was written by Maria herself, alongside Fabrizio Palaferri and Stefano Rigamonti. It is sung in a mix of Italian and English.

Maria is no stranger to the stage, having been performing since a young age. She has taken part in local and international many contests and festivals, the most recent being "Cantagiro", an Italian Summer Festival that has been running on and off since 1962. As well as singing, Maria is a keen Clarinet player and dancer.

Maria will be the 4th participant for Italy in Junior Eurovision since their debut in 2014. In the short time that Italy has been in Junior Eurovision, they have won the contest with Vincenzo Cantiello in 2014 and in the 2016 contest, Fiamma Boccia managed 3rd place for Italy.

Will Maria achieve another top 3 placing for Italy? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
