JESC 2017 | Malta Reveal their entry "Dawra Tond"
Malta have announced the song which will be representing them in the forthcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Tbilisi.
Back in July, nine year-old Gianluca Cilla won the national final to earn the right to represent Malta in Georgia, and tonight, through no real fanfare and anticipation have released the song, titled "Dawra Tond" which translates to "Turn Around" in English, the music video focuses heavily on the 1930s styling with Gianluca in a smart suit and haircut, with the backing dancers/singers all rolled hairstyles, big bows and colour blocked shirts and skirts, similar to fashion of that era.

The song itself its uptempo and catchy from the very start, with a whistling hook at the start and the prominent heavy beat which is easy to clap and dance along to, its guaranteed to be in your head on first listen, all in all it is a rather solid well thought out entry for Malta, as usual for them. The song is mostly in English with the final hook and chorus being sung in Maltese.
What do you think of "Dawra Tond" and its chances in Tbilisi? Make sure you let us know in the comments! And see how you Gianluca does at Junior Eurovision on November 26th in Tbilisi, Georgia.
