Bosnia & Herzegovina Will NOT Participate In Eurovision 2018

September 18, 2017

Bosnia & Herzegovina have confirmed they shall not be returning to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2018. Officially confirmed on their social media @bheurosong in a simple message stating they will not participate.

Since the nation withdrew in 2017, after returning to the contest the following year, the broadcaster BHRT has been in severe financial trouble and debt which has resulted in strikes from their employes as well as the station nearly shutting down altogether, making the participation fee almost impossible to match and justify, it was said last month their participation was unlikely and this has now been confirmed, they last entered the contest in 2016 and nearly made the final with their dramatic entry "Ljubav Je" performed by Dean & Dalal as well as featured moments from Ana Rucner and Jala, they finished 11th in the semi final - 29 points adrift of 10th placed Balkan neighbours Croatia.
