JESC 2017 | Nicole Nicolaou For Cyprus

September 15, 2017

Greek Websites INFE Greece, Phile News, and Wikipedia  have announced that Cyprus' next Junior Eurovision entrant will be the artist Nicole Nicolaou with the song "I Wanna Be A Star".  She has been internally selected by the national broadcaster and will be present in Tiblisi this November to do her home country proud.

The song which will be performed in Greek/ English was written by three time Eurovision participant Constantinos who represented Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1996, 2002 and 2005.  The song is expected to be publically performed in October.  So stay tuned to Eurovoxx for that.

The country have participated 8 times at the contest with their best result coming in 2004 and 2006 where they came 8th.  Last year they were represented by George Michaelides with the song "Dance Floor".  Unfortunately he gave Cyprus their worst ever placing, achieving 16th place with 27 points.  Can Nicole do the opposite and be at the top of the leader board this year?
