EuroStarz In Concert Was A Euro Delight!

Last night London "Relived The Moment", and "it was the night" that Eurovision fans came together and celebrated the presence of the Eurovision stars past and present. The event that has now been a big success in it's second year, was again held in the Star of Kings London. Team Eurovoxx were pleased to be there before, and during the show that saw a magnificent evening. It was a real feast for the eyes and the ears. The event organisers Michael Woodhead, Tania Dean and Caroline Griffin who must be named for putting on a fantastic show can be credited with bringing together a fantastic line-up, and putting on a truly entertaining and fun evening for all who attended (Bravo Guys).

Prior to the doors being open, Eurovoxx were there with others, and were privlieged enough to interview the fantastic line up (videos and articles to come). Doors opened at 19.15 to the public, and the show started at 20.00. What a show it was!!! It was compared by Karl William Lund, who is no stranger to this event as he was also present in 2016. His professionalism and love for the music clearly showed as he interviewed the artists, and introduced them. The audience lapped up this trip down memory lane, and were constantly applauding, dancing and singing along with the artists. Each artist in turn sung a medley of songs, some of which were their own, former Eurovision entries and personal favourites. Here is a list below

Karl William Lund

As everyone will know Karl was part of the show "Eurovision You Decide" in 2016 with his song "Miracle". Unfortunately he failed to win, however he has remained a fan favourite with his track becoming an evergreen. His love for the competition, and music in general showed last night, where he was warmly received by all. Karl who interviewed the artists was clearly loved by everyone, and it was so nice to see him mingling with everyone which was a lovely touch. Some of the songs he sang were:

Blackbird (Finland Eurovision 2017 entry)

Miracle (Eurovision You Decide 2016 entry)

Fanatical (Karl's own song)

Sleep (Karl's own song)

Verona with Selena (Estonia 2017)

Salena Mastroianni

Again, we were introduced to the wonderful Salena who was not only Karl's backing singer in 2016, but also tried to represent the UK at "Eurovision You Decide" 2017. Unfortunately "I Don't Wanna Fight" failed to make it through too. However this is another artist who is truly loved by her fans, and all those that saw her perform earlier in the year. She performed a medley of songs, which included a duet with Karl singing Verona (Estonia 2017 entry). It's not hard to see why this girl is loved, with a bubbly personality and a voice with a lot of power behind it, Salena was surely popular on the night.

Kurt Calleja

Kurt proudly represented Malta in 2012 with the song "This Is The Night", and last night he made EuroStarz his night. An absolute true gentleman who went down really well with the crowd. This man certainly can sing, and belted out various tracks faultlessly which included some of his fantastic songs from his album (a prize to be given away shortly), along with some Eurovision hits, which were sung fantastic in Italian. He stole the show. He too mingled with the audience which was lovely to see. His songs were:

Volare (Eurovision 1958)

L' Essenziale (Eurovision 2013)

This Is The Night (Malta 2012)

Love On Mars (from his album)

Vertigo (from his album)

Anjeza Shahini (Connolly)

Anjeza made history by being Albania's first ever Eurovision representative back in 2004. The song "The Image Of You" is just as popular now as it was back then. A very young Anjeza in 2004 has blossomed into a very beautiful, elegant lady in 2017. Her audience adored her, and she proved she still has that very powerful voice that saw her do so well for Albania in 2004 and previous years since. She sang:

Welcome To Europe (2006 song)

Ne Pasqyre (FIK 2009 entry)

Love (FIK 2013 entry)

The Image of You (2004 Eurovision Entry)

Mihai Traistariu

It's all true what they say about Mihai.... He can sing, he can really sing. When he represented Romania in 2006 with his song "Tornero", it became clear why that became a huge international hit. Not only a strong, catchy dance song, but he hit notes that even world famous artist could dream of doing. Mihai brought the house down last night, and got everyone singing, dancing, and made sure the party really got going. His amazing vocals were flawless. He sang:

Listen (Beyoncé track)

My Number One (Greece 2005)

Fairytale (Norway 2009)

Rise Like A Phoenix (Austria 2014)

Tornero (Romania 2006)

Anne Marie David

London was in the presence of Eurovision royalty last night, when Anne Marie David graced a very delighted audience, who just loved and adored her. The former Eurovision winner, sang both her entries and a medley of songs from various musicals. She delighted everyone with her superb vocals, and her passion for the contest, and to the fans, who all just love her. She too delighted everyone when she mingled after the show, and her flawless performances got rapturous applauses.

The artist performing a medley of United Kingdom hits

The show ended with all the artists getting on stage to reprise some of the best of the United Kingdom's entries which was a fitting tribute to the UK being in the contest for 60 years. This went down so well with the audience who were all on their feet taking a trip down memory lane. The songs included "Puppet On A String", "Boom Bang A Bang", "One Step Out Of Time", "My Time", "Just A Little Bit", "I Can" and "Love Shine A Light". The show didn't end there with the DJ playing some classic Eurovision tunes until 1.30 am, where the evening drew to a fitting close.

Everyone clearly had a good night, including team Eurovoxx and the artists. Michael, Tania and Caroline should all be so happy and proud of putting on such a spectacular event. Here's to Eurostarz in concert 2018!!!! We can't Wait!! Please be sure to check their website out here.
