Måns Zelmerlöw Is Back With The Video For "Hanging On To Nothing"

June 13, 2017

Swedish superstar, heart throb and Mr Eurovision himself  Måns Zelmerlöw is back with the new song "Hanging On To Nothing".  Although the song had been released several months ago, it is only in the last few days that the official video has accompanied it.  Eurovoxx has seen and heard it, and like it a lot.  We are not sure that it needs the "F" word at the beginning of the song, but it's such a cool and uptempo song, which we are sure you will love.  The song was released only as a digital download on the 26th August last year (video only now accompanied it), did not enter the Swedish charts, but did peak at number 2 on the Swedish Heatseeker songs.  The song is from his seventh album Chameleon, and there is a French version of the track called "Rien que nous deux".  Check out below for the official video below.

The song tells of a relationship, "Cause every time that you leave me I am loving it
And every time that I am set free I am hanging on to nothing".
An important relationship although he is granted the freedom to move on, he is still in love with her.  "But I can't be tamed" he sings, and makes passing reference to the arguments, and lies to keep things going.  Quite a poignant message to anyone who has been in a relationship with someone they love, which is destructive.  His song tells, how it's always best to leave, however, "It's like I am hanging on to nothing just for you baby".

Måns has had quite the career.  He has done most things and oozes charisma.  He is a singer, and television presenter.  He first came to prominence in Idol 2005 where he finished fifth, he won Sweden's first edition of Let's Dance, and started a stint of Melodifestivalen (Swedish pre selection show) performances.  His first being "Cara Mia" in 2007, "Hope And Glory" in 2009 and "Heroes" in 2016 which he won the Eurovision Song Contest with. He then co-hosted the show with Petra Mede in 2016.

At Eurovision Måns won the 2016 edition.  This was Sweden's last and 6th win.  He won the contest with 365 points, which was at the time the third highest score ever at Eurovision.  Check out his performance below:
