Eurovoxx goes "Higher" with Laura Tesero's new single

The Belgian representative for Eurovision 2016 Laura Tesero has recently released her new track "Higher". A simple, fun and upbeat single, this is just like her Eurovision entry and has that feel good feeling. It contains quite a fair bit of pop, but does have some R 'n' B influences, and has a sound of Jessie J to it. It's fairly catchy too, but does not have the soul and disco that her song "What's the pressure" had. It was released at the end of April, but the official video came out in May. Check out the video here:

Just like the song, the video does not over complicate and doesn't need too. It just shows Laura in different frames, with different colour backgrounds which seems to work. It certainly is engaging. The song itself peaked in the Belgium at 21, not the best placing, but as it has been over a year since the follow up of her Eurovision entry, and she has been fairly busy, so it may not be surprising it didn't chart higher. The song was written by Laura Tesoro, Wouter Vander Veken and produced by Kyle Kelso.

Laura has had many fingers in many pies in Belgium. Before her music career started she was most famous for being the character Charlotte in the Flemish soap Opera Familie. She also came second on the Belgian "The Voice" in 2014. At a young age, and for such a young person she has also done several musicals, and keeps herself really busy. She has voiced two animation movies to go with all her other achievements. Recently she has been hosting Belgium's Got Talent, and has been a judge on The Voice Kids Flanders.

At Eurovision she succeeded in qualifying for the final again for Belgium. She was very popular amongst fans, and managed to achieve a top 10 position. She came 10th scoring 181 points. Check out her Eurovision entry below:
