Eurovision 2020 | Who will be performing live during the German Eurovision final show on Saturday?

It has been revealed that on Saturday 16th May the German broadcaster NDR is organising a German Eurovision final show with live performances from various ESC artists that were due to complete this year in Rotterdam before it was sadly cancelled due to the pandemic.

The show will be broadcast from the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, and online viewers can watch it lice from 20:15 CET via Das Erste, ARD Mediathek and eurovision.de.

The 2020 Eurovision representatives that will be performing at the concert include German favourites Ben & Tan from Denmark, Daði Freyr og Gagnamagnið from Iceland, The Roop from Lithuania and Germany's own 2020 representative Ben Dolic.

NDR has said that Ben Dolic's performance will be the same as what it would've been in Rotterdam. The stage performance for "Violent Thing" was created by the American choreographer Marty Kudelka, who has received two MTV Video Music Awards for work with Justin Timberlake.

In addition to these artists, ten other Eurovision 2020 participants will be performing on the stage of the German Eurovision Final in Hamburg, those who received the most votes in the semi-final held on 9th May. These artists include Efendi from Azerbaijan, Victoria from Bulgaria, Diodato from Italy, Destiny from Malta, Little Big from Russia, The Mamas from Sweden and Gjon's Tears from Switzerland.

In the form of classic Eurovision voting, the audience will decide who will be the winner of the German Eurovision Final 2020. The 100-member German jury will also participate in the voting, and as in regular Eurovision voting Germany will not be eligible to receive votes from the German audience. During the voting interval, Michael Schulte will sing his entry from the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest, "You Let Me Walk Alone" as well as a new single.

During the show, called "Eurovision Song Contest 2020 - das deutsche Finale live aus der Elbphilharmonie" it will showcase the most unique, beautiful and and most touching performances during the Contests 64 year history.
