JESC 2018 | Rita Laranjeira to represent Portugal with 'Gosto de Tudo'

Last month Rita Laranjeira was announced as Portugal's Junior Eurovision 2018 representative and will be flying the Portuguese flag in October - beating nine other participants being considered by Portuguese broadcaster RTP. We also learned at the time that Rita was heading straight to the recording studio and now her song 'Gosto de Tudo (Já Não Gosto de Nada)' has been released. You can check it out below.

Translated to English, the song title reads 'I Like Everything (I Do Not Like Anything Anymore)'. The song is a bouncy uptempo number which allows Rita to have fun but also show off her impressive voice. Here at Eurovoxx we look forward to seeing how she will take it to the big stage in Minsk next month!

Rita was born in the beautiful region of Sintra on March 3rd 2005 and was chosen to represent Portugal after being selected by an expert jury following her successful audition for "Juniores de Portugal". The panel narrowed down 70 applications to 10 finalists before making the decision last month. During her audition, she performed 'Eu sei', 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' and 'I Surrender'. Rita also regularly performs in Portugal, with many videos uploaded to her YouTube channel which mostly see's her perform covers of popular songs. Shortly prior to being chosen, Rita also performed at a Disney themed concert where she performed a number of classic Disney songs.

Last year, Portugal returned to Junior Eurovision after a nine year break. Their song 'Youtuber' came a disappointing fourteenth position with 54 points.
