Mariette And Rolandz Win The Fourth Semi-Final Of Melodifestivalen 2018

The biggest and most popular Eurovision pre-selection show that is the 'Melodifestivalen' was back this evening for it's fourth and final semi-final, which was held at the Fjällräven Center in Örnsköldsvik. Seven artists competed in the hope of qualifying directly to the grand final to be held on the 10th March 2018. Tonight saw Mariette with the song For You and Rolandz singing Fuldans advance to the final. Felix Sandman and Olivia Eliasson will be given another opportunity to impress as they qualified for the second chance round to be held next week.

Tonight's seven performers were:

Felicia Olsson – “Break That Chain”

Felix Sandman – “Every Single Day”

Mariette – “For You”

Rolandz – “Fuldans”

Emmi Christensson – “Icarus”

Elias Abbas – “Mitt Paradis”

Olivia – “Never Learn”

It was widely expected that Mariette and Rolandz would qualify. Tonight, also saw two further acts being pushed forward to the second chance round. Elias Abbas came fifth, surprisingly Emmi Christensson came sixth. Unfortunately Felicia Olsson came last.

Two more artists have now qualified for the Melodifestivalen final, they will be joining John Lundvik, Benjamin Ingrosso, Samir & Viktor, LIAMOO, Jessica Andersson and Martin Almgren. There is only one more heat left before the contest, and that is the Andra Chansen (Second round) which will take place at the Kristianstad Arena in Kristianstad next week.

The biggest show in Sweden's calendar is nearly complete. Tonight's aritsts are guaranteed a chance to represent Sweden at the Eurovision song contest in Lisbon this may. Did your favourite qualify? Please tell us in the comments below.
