Three days before the semifinal allocation draw on the 28th January, the five allocation pots have been revealed. Forty-one countries will be competing at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. In comparison to 2019, Ukraine and Bulgaria have returned to the contest while Montenegro and Hungary have withdrawn. Tonight, the semi final draw for Eurovision 2019 took place in Tel Aviv, hosted by two of the four hosts for the competition itself, Assi Azar and Lucy Ayoub. 18 nations will compete in each semi-final, all hoping to grab one of the ten qualification spots up for grabs from each heat, it was also decided which semi-finals the Big Five and hosts Israel will vote in and therefore are required to broadcast live.
