Since Duncan Laurence won the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, a myriad of cities had expressed interest in hosting the contest. After opening the official application, 9 cities applied to host, of which 4 have already dropped out: Amsterdam, Breda, Leeuwarden and The Hague. Eurovision 2020 | Melodifestivalen Submissions to Open on August 26th
Another year, another set of submissions! The Swedish broacaster, SVT, have just announced the dates on when they will be accepting song submissions for the show. Artists, songwriters and composers will have between August 26th and September 13th to submit their entries to SVT. After returning to the contest last year, Azerbaijan has once again decided to pull out of this year's contest in Gliwice. June saw the news that delighted many Junior Eurovision fans, when the national broadcaster for Spain, RTVE announced that the country would once again return to the competition after a twelve year absence. In that time, the competition has seen many other countries come and go, including France who successfully returned last year, placing second. Spain have also come back this year.
